Travel Network Group members report sales surge following snow storms
The beginning of March saw much of the UK blanketed in snow, with many agencies having to shut up shop as a result of the Beast from the East. The Travel Network Group members had access to a 24/7, 365-day a year emergency contact number to support clients who were stuck.

However, some of the Travel Network Group’s members experienced a huge rush in footfall following the storms, as customers try to escape the bad weather. Tailor Made Travel had to close eight branches in Wales, however he was optimistic of recouping lost sales as he says “So far the shops have been rammed”.

The Travel Network Group helps members grow luxury business
Our very first cluster event dedicated to luxury travel was held in London in March 2018. More than 70 members battled the snow to take the opportunity to learn more about the luxury market, discover ideas on how to grow luxury sales and also discuss how to market to clients in the luxury sector.
The luxury event is the first in a series of meetings we will hold in 2018, and all future events will help members to network, share best practice and keep up to date with the latest industry news.

Savvi Travel opens a fourth branch in Hitchin, Hertfordshire
One of our retail agent members has enjoyed huge growth since opening in 2011, and celebrated the opening of its fourth branch in Hitchin in Hertfordshire in March 2018 to capture business in the run up to Easter.
The travel agency will hold an open evening in April to welcome new customers to the store.

Party Hard Travel has expanded its team and moved to a larger office
Travel Trust Association member of the year for 2017, Party Hard Travel, has expanded its team and relocated to a larger office, following increased sales by “more than 100%” year-on-year.
Alongside the continued growth in business, both founders have now been members of TTG’s 30 Under 30 programme, with Nathan Cable joining the programme in 2017, and Barry Moore becoming part of 2018’s intake.

Launch of Travel Queen competition coincides with International Women’s Day
One of our Travel Trust Association members, Travel Queen, has launched a competition for women aged 25-55 to win a place on their first tour to Thailand in November 2018. The competition was launched on International Women’s Day and encourages women to explain why they deserve to be a #TravelQueenIn2018.
